Nestled All Snug

I thought these lemons look as if they are snuggled all down in the towel. I painted this as a companion for the painting I did about three days ago.  My friend said that she would love to have one of my paintings, so I plan to give the pair to her to hang in her kitchen.

So I've improved enough over the past six months that I've attained one goal.  I always said I'd like to paint well enough that people would like to have my paintings.    At this point, at least now I can GIVE them away!  LOL.   It makes me happy to share them.

  7. Thank you everyone for all the encouraging comments. I love that you took time to visit and say something. Anu, it is an 8 inch X 8 inch. I forgot to add that to my description. Yes, I used a little Alizarin Crimson to add some pink and lavender in the cloth.

Carol, at this point, I'm still grateful that anyone would want one of my paintings!

  10. Hi Virginia,
So glad I paid you a visit today. I had to laugh that you painted and wiped it all away. You were not alone. I wiped my scene away 6 times and re-did it. Thank goodness for oil paint.
But gotta say, maybe I should have baked a cake instead.
Love your work Virginia, you are one talented lady. Thank you for sharing.
