Pear trio

Pears are very forgiving.  You'll never hear one say,  "That doesn't look like me".  Or, "You made my butt look too big."  Which I probably did.   Pears are just easy going and fun to paint.

  2. Love the golden glow of this painting with the green shadows and touches of red in the pears. It has a gilded look. And I love what a pear will never say! Very funny! Thanks for visiting and your supportive comments. Happy painting!

  3. Pears are indeed, very forgiving. All round soft edges. Like women. I think of them as having bustles, which is the antithesis of what we women want currently. Ironic? Beautiful light and color . . . light dominant value . . . hey, you're not value-dominant dyslexic!

  4. Pears are one of my favorite subjects. I haven't painted any in a long time. You've provided a nice, colorful reminder. :)

  9. Lorraine, I was just thinking that pears are the only fruit that we assign personality to. Apples just aren't that endearing.

I'm not dyslexic, but I am so detail oriented! I just haven't been able to loosen up yet like you. Actually, for me this was a pretty loose painting. Waaah!

  20. Yes, all that is wonderful, and I like how you controlled the viewer's 'journey' through the painting with the composition, and stems!
