Painting Challenge



I painted this in response to the painting challenge on Rookie Painter.   When I saw this challenge , I thought, oh boy apples!   I didn't really complete the vase as I ran out of time and I was trying to complete this in one afternoon.

 I didn't try to paint the old car that Carol Marine had posted for her Daily Paintworks challenge.   Somehow cars don't give me the same happy feeling that apples do.

    You are so good with the apples. Love the combination of colors. Fun comp as well! Yeah, I thought about the car too. Maybe next time.

    Great apples, Virginia! I think they are such fun to paint! I worked on the car today and after two wipe outs and a final result, I doubt I will post it. UGH! :-)

    This is a really nice painting...I like the apples and the reflection is really nice. It makes the composition very interesting!
